We estimate the distance between your states, take the published price range for that distance from the industry studies we cite, adjust it for your vehicle, transport type and how soon you need pickup, and show where your quote falls against it.

My quote is much lower than the range. Is that good?

Usually not. A price no carrier can haul for is how the commonest complaint in this industry starts: the booking is taken, no driver accepts it, and the price rises once your dates are close. Ask whether the price is binding, and do not pay a large deposit before a carrier is assigned.

My quote is above the range. Am I being overcharged?

Not necessarily. Enclosed transport, an expedited pickup, a remote address, an oversized vehicle or a car that does not run all legitimately cost more. Ask what is driving it, then compare two more quotes for the same dates.

Do you see the price I enter?
