Compare companies we have researched
We read the page once and look up any license numbers on it. Nothing about you is sent to the site.
What this does and does not do
It reads the license numbers on the page you give us, looks each one up, and reports:
- Who the record is registered to
- Whether the registration is active
- Broker, carrier, or both
- Whether the registered name corresponds to the brand
It does not score a website, judge a company, or guess from a domain's age or a phone number. We have no data behind any of that, and a confident warning with nothing underneath it would be worse than no tool at all.

Questions about this check
You didn't find a license number. Is that bad?
Not on its own, and we are careful not to present it as a finding. Sites routinely serve an automated visitor something different from what they serve you, so we may simply have been shown a page without it. Try the About, Contact or Terms page. Every licensed broker and carrier has a USDOT or MC number, and the test that settles it is whether the company gives you one when you ask.
The registered name is different from the brand. Does that mean it's fake?
No, and we are careful not to say so. Companies trade under names other than their registered one, registrations get updated, and a site can be run by an agency or a marketing partner. It is a reason to ask who you would be contracting with, not a verdict.
Does a matching record mean the company is trustworthy?
No. It means the license exists and is registered to a business whose name corresponds. Whether a company is good at moving cars is a separate question, answered by its complaint and review history rather than its paperwork.
Compare researched companiesYou couldn't load the page. What does that mean?
Usually nothing. Many sites block automated visitors as a matter of course. Try a different page on the same site, or look the company up by name or number directly.
