Find your shipment

Tracking numbers come with Haulwide bookings, which open soon.

Booked with a company directly?

Ask the company that booked your shipment for the carrier's name, the driver's phone number and the estimated delivery window.

Check the carrier's USDOT number

What each shipment status means

  1. Booked

You accepted a quote and the company is finding a carrier for your dates.

  2. Carrier assigned

A carrier accepted the load. Ask for its name, USDOT number and pickup window.

  3. Picked up

The driver inspected the car and you both signed the bill of lading.

  4. In transit

The car is on the truck. Drivers often share updates by phone or text.

  5. Delivered

Inspect the car before you sign and note any new damage on the bill of lading.

Questions to ask while your car is on the road

  • What's the driver's name and phone number?
  • What's the estimated delivery window?
  • How far ahead will the driver call before delivery?
  • What happens if no one is available at delivery?

If something goes wrong

  1. Contact the company that booked your shipment and keep everything in writing.
  2. Note any damage on the bill of lading before you sign, and take photos.
  3. Start a claim with the carrier and its insurer if there's damage.
  4. Report problems that aren't resolved to FMCSA and on Haulwide.

Tracking: FAQs

  • Where do I find my tracking number?

Haulwide bookings haven't opened yet, so there are no Haulwide tracking numbers. If you booked with a company directly, use the order number or tracking link it sent you.

  • What if my car is running late?

Delivery windows are estimates, and weather, traffic and other stops can add a day or two. If the delay grows, ask the company for a new window in writing.

    How long car shipping takes
  • What if my car arrives damaged?

Note the damage on the bill of lading before you sign, photograph it and contact the carrier to start a claim.
