  • Keep your API key private and use the data only as your agreement allows.
  • Show estimates as estimates, never as guaranteed quotes, and credit Haulwide as the source.
  • Respect rate limits; we may change or suspend access to protect the service.

1. Access and keys

API access requires an approved application and an API key. Keys are confidential and tied to your organization. You're responsible for all use of your keys and must tell us promptly if a key is exposed.

2. Permitted use

  • Use the API only for the use case approved in your agreement
  • Label price data as estimates, not quotes, wherever it's shown
  • Credit Haulwide as the data source where your agreement requires attribution
  • Keep cached data no longer than your agreement allows

3. Restrictions

  • Reselling or redistributing raw API data without written permission
  • Using data to build a competing ranking or review service
  • Presenting Haulwide Scores or rankings in a way that changes their meaning
  • Sharing keys or circumventing rate limits

4. Data accuracy

API data, including estimates, availability and company information, is provided "as is" and may be incomplete or out of date. It's not a guarantee of any price or service.

5. Fees, limits and changes

Fees, rate limits and service levels are set in your API agreement. We version the API and aim to give reasonable notice before breaking changes, except where urgent security or legal needs require faster action.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for breaches of these terms, security risks or non-payment. On termination you must stop using the API and delete cached data as your agreement requires.

These API Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
